Festivals Acadiens et Créoles at the Hilliard

October 10 - October 12

Join us Oct 10-12 for the Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, in partnership with the UL-Lafayette Center for Louisiana Studies (CLS). Enjoy food, music, arts, and vibrant cultural programming all weekend.  

On Friday, October 10, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. the Hilliard Museum will host the CLSs’ Festivals Acadiens et Créoles Symposium, Et asteur quoi ?! Countercultural Currents, Artistic Intersections, exploring how the deep cultural roots are informing the next generation of artists, now. 

On Saturday and Sunday, October 11-12, join us at Scéne Atelier on the Hilliard Lawn for workshops and cultural events by the Center of Louisiana Studies. 

The festival is the largest Cajun and Créole celebration in the United States. With its rich history and cultural significance, Festivals Acadiens et Créoles continues to be a beacon of Cajun and Créole culture, celebrating the past while looking to the future.
