Highlights include works by Clementine Hunter, Henry Ossawa Tanner, Andy Warhol, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, Arthur Dove, Robert Rauschenberg, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Hunt Slonem, Keith Sonnier, Cora Kelly Ward, and a deep collection of regional artists.

Yes. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum hosts multiple temporary exhibitions each year, showcasing regional, national, and international artists.
Who designed the museum buildings?
The historic A. Hays Town building, inspired by 19th-century Greek Revival plantation homes, opened in 1968 and operated as an exhibition space for students. The contemporary building, designed by Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, opened in 2004.
