Francie Bishop Good: Comus

September 10, 2016
Guest Curated Jane Hart

A solo exhibition showcasing the works of Francie Bishop Good. This series utilizes digital media and originates from scans taken from both her own and her mother’s yearbook, entitled Comus. In these pieces, Bishop Good adds layers of virtual painterly and collage elements, to create stirring remembrances. Commenting on the significance of this series, Bishop Good says, “I am obsessed with both of our high school yearbooks and engrossed with the similarities and differences in the general and specifics. Allentown has gone through transformations and in many ways is a microcosm for much of the United States.”
