Cross Currents: Frameworks of Intelligence

January 28 • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
An audience watches a panel discussion in an art gallery. Five people sit at the front, speaking, with CROSS CURRENTS displayed on a glass wall behind them. Cameras and artwork are visible around the room.

Join us for Frameworks of Intelligencethe latest iteration of Cross Currents, a series using visual art as a catalyst for interdisciplinary dialogue, as we explore how different fields understand knowledge itself. Drawing from artist Mare Martin’s practice of daily sketching as a method of knowing—not capturing, but comprehending the world—this panel brings together experts in AI, philosophy, education, and religious studies to challenge how we validate and value different ways of understanding.

5:00 p.m. Reception
5:30 p.m. Panel Discussion

Free for museum members, UL students, faculty and staff. General public entry with museum admission.
