June 25 • 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A bearded man wearing safety goggles and a plaid shirt uses a blowtorch on a workbench in a workshop, while three people sit in the background watching attentively.

Inspired by the exhibition Gulf Streams: Atchafalaya Remixed, learn how to carve designs into cuttlefish bone, a natural material that creates unique textures and patterns, and then use those carvings as molds for casting molten metal at the UL Metalwork Studio.

Member Rate: $60 per person
Non-Member Rate: $75 per person

Advance registration is required, as space is limited to 15. All materials provided. No artistic experience or expertise necessary.

Summer programming is presented by Dr. Jay Culotta and Kiki Frayard.
