DESCRIPTION:A monthly drop-in program that transforms art education into engaging family experiences. Designed for ages 4 and up\, each session features hands-on creative activities that connect directly to current exhibitions and make art concepts accessible and inspiring for young minds. Beginning September 13th\, families can enjoy art-making together while local food vendors provide snacks\, creating a welcoming community space where creativity flourishes and new connections are made. Children 10 and under participate free\, ensuring art education remains accessible to all families in our community. \nAges 4 and up  \nNo pre-registration required  \n** Please note there will be no Create & Play Café October 11\, 2025.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Hilliard Art Museum for Family Fête on Saturday\, November 15th\, starting at 10 a.m.\, for a day of art and interactive experiences for all ages. Enjoy live performances\, engage in hands-on creative activities\, and unwind with movement sessions for the whole family. \n\n10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Art making including botanical ink transfer\, scavenger hunt\, community mural\, scent making\, foraging for art with Moncus Park\, DNA strand building with Lafayette Science Museum\, planting with Lafayette Parish Master Gardeners and Acadiana Native Plant Project and more!\n10:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.: Story time with UL College of Education\n11 a.m.: Family Yoga with UL Kinesiology Instructor\n1 p.m.: Family Movement/Dance with UL Assistant Professor of Dance\n2 p.m. Bring your picnic blankets for our Hilliard Lawn Party featuring New Natives Brass Band and Bubble Bus!\n\nEnjoy kid-friendly treats with C’est Bon Manger Food Truck and Maple Street Milkshake Bar \, plus Tasty Coffee for parents. \nAdmission is free for all museum members\, UL students\, faculty and staff\, plus their children.
